MCS — solar PV and battery storage

MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) is the UK standard for small-scale renewables. As an MCS accredited installer we design and install solar PV and battery storage to the current scheme rules, including the paperwork needed for your MCS certificate and Smart Export Guarantee. NAPIT Part P — domestic electrical installation

PPM Electrical Ltd is registered with the NAPIT Competent Person Scheme for Building Regulations (Part P) self-certification. Scope 8: installation of fixed low or extra-low voltage electrical installations in dwellings. Certificate number NAP/79608/26/2, issued by NAPIT Certification Ltd (UKAS accredited, no. 4358) on 28 August 2026. Approved 4 August 2025, valid until 31 August 2027.

In practice that means we can self-certify notifiable electrical work in homes, such as consumer unit replacements, new circuits and rewires, and notify Building Control through NAPIT for you.

NAPIT inspection and testing — homes and commercial premises

We also hold NAPIT certification against the IET Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) for periodic inspection and testing, scope A2: A2.1 dwellings and A2.2 other than dwellings. Same certificate number, NAP/79608/26/2, approved 4 August 2025 and valid until 31 August 2027.

That covers Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) for landlords and homeowners, and periodic inspection and testing of commercial premises such as shops, offices, warehouses, packhouses and farm buildings.

F-Gas — air conditioning and refrigeration

PPM Electrical Ltd holds FGASREGISTER company certificate FGAS3015562 (issued 17 May 2024, expires 16 May 2027), managed by Quidos. It covers installation, repair, maintenance, servicing and decommissioning of stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump equipment, including systems under or over 3 kg. That is the qualification needed for split air conditioning, shop fridges and commercial cold-store plant. Check authenticity at fgasregister.com.

Insurance and method statements

Commercial and farm clients often need proof of insurance, RAMS and competence before we start on site. Tell us at quote stage and we will send the pack with the proposal.
